49ers Preseason Offensive Line Roster

The first wave of league roster cuts needs to be done by Tuesday, Aug. 17 by 4 p.m. ET, getting down from 90 players to 85, so there’s a chance this list winds up being pretty fluid right away.

Especially for players who essentially have no chance of making the 49ers’ regular-season roster but perhaps stand a good chance of landing somewhere else this season.

Here’s the list of players currently rostered.

49ers Active Offensive Linemen

  • Aaron Banks*
  • Jake Brendel
  • Daniel Brunskill
  • Shon Coleman
  • Tom Compton
  • Alfredo Gutierrez*
  • Corbin Kaufusi
  • Senio Kelemete
  • Alex Mack
  • Mike McGlinchey
  • Colton McKivitz
  • Jaylon Moore*
  • Dakoda Shepley
  • Laken Tomlinson
  • Trent Williams

49ers Reserve/Injured Offensive Linemen

  • Justin Skule

* denotes rookie

Moore got the start at left tackle in place of Williams against the Chiefs, which is a pretty good indicator the Niners are expecting solid things from the rookie this season, even if it’s in a backup role.

Additionally, head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters after the game Banks, San Francisco’s second-round NFL Draft pick this year, suffered a shoulder injury during the game and would be out two to three weeks, effectively ending his preseason.

Yet by looking at the snap counts from Week 1 of the preseason, we can also break down some of the key storylines to watch between now and the regular-season kickoff.
