2021 NFL Draft: Dolphins (via Texans) select wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase, LSU
The Miami Dolphins could be looking to move on from their first-round quarterbacking investment from a year ago, Tua Tagovailoa. But it might simply be a better idea to invest in other weapons around him. Giving up on a player of Tagovailoa’s ilk so soon into his career despite his late struggles in 2020 still seems premature.
Good thing there are some awesome wide receivers in this year’s NFL Draft, including LSU’s Ja’Marr Chase, who could be right in line with Alabama’s DeVonta Smith for the No. 1 wideout selected on draft day.
It’s more a matter of preference than anything else. But Chase has the potential to be a true superstar and doesn’t come with the size concerns Smith has.
Either way, Miami can’t go wrong by adding a playmaker on the outside to help bring Tagovailoa’s game to the next level.
