SF 49ers Round 3 pick (compensatory)

Cowboys . Teven Jenkins. 98. player. 856. . Offensive Tackle

With their second available pick in the draft, the one received after the NY Jets hired away defensive coordinator Robert Saleh as head coach, the SF 49ers select Teven Jenkins, offensive linemen out of Oklahoma State.

The Niners have a massive need on their offensive line, particularly in light of it being difficult to re-sign perennial Pro Bowl left tackle Trent Williams, and Jenkins would be a great value pick at this point in the process.

Jenkins would presumably need a little bit of time to become accustomed to NFL-caliber edge rushers, but he would presumably be someone San Francisco would be very happy to add to its pass-protection unit.

Early on, he’d probably be someone worth starting at guard, hopefully being able to transition out to where he was at in college at tackle.
