No. 4: Cam Robinson, Jacksonville Jaguars

While fill-in options like Jared Veldheer have their purposes, the 49ers would likely want to get younger along their offensive line instead of older.

If that’s the case, and with the cost being a question mark, going after Jacksonville Jaguars tackle Cam Robinson wouldn’t be a bad move.

Robinson, 25 years old, is coming off his rookie contract after being selected by the Jags in Round 2 of the 2017 NFL Draft. And with a productive three of four years as a full-time starter, one can figure he’d be a sought-after commodity on the free-agent market this offseason, potentially hauling in a new contract in the range of $6 million annually.

Notably cheaper than Trent Williams and younger, too.

Robinson has good lateral movement, which would be important to head coach Kyle Shanahan’s offense. And while Robinson is nowhere close to the kind of pass protector Williams is, the former is still developing to the point where he could be more reliable in this department.
