Las Vegas Raiders

Does Richard Sherman go to the SF 49ers’ ugly cousin? Why not?

Everyone knows Sherman is a West Coast guy, so the Las Vegas Raiders would make a lot of sense here. Their defensive unit is absolutely dying for a seasoned veteran to help change the culture in that locker room, and Sherman would definitely be able to do that.

More importantly, they also have the ability to pay him the big bucks.

The Raiders secondary is probably the weakest part of their team, so they may look to draft a few young corners and have Sherman show them what it takes to compete at a high level in the NFL. The attitude in Las Vegas is and always has been lax, so Sherman may be the guy to throw a bag of money at if you want that to change.

The Raiders are a young team, but they’re also not a very good one. Sherman may want to stay away from a team that probably won’t make the playoffs again for a while, though this would be a very comfortable move for him, keeping him in a part of the country he prefers, while also keeping him highly paid. This definitely wouldn’t be a “football move” and would rely heavily on how much the Raiders are ready to offer him as this team is nowhere near a Super Bowl.

The next four teams listed are more likely than the Raiders, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see this happen.
