SF 49ers Playoff Win-Loss Record: 4-2

Fans are going to think one way or another about SF 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, almost entirely stemming from his stance on social justice.

But whatever side of that argument you’re on, you can’t ignore Kap was one of the most electrifying athletes in those memorable Niners postseason runs of 2013 and 2014.

First, there was Kaepernick running rampant over the Packers in the 2013 divisional round where he rushed for 181 yards and two touchdowns to go along with 263 pass yards and two more touchdowns through the air. Then, when it came time to beat Green Bay on the road a year later, Kaepernick was right back at it again en route to San Francisco’s frozen-tundra victory.

Kap was instrumental in key road wins in the playoffs over the Atlanta Falcons and Carolina Panthers, too, doing something a number of predecessors had difficulty with.

If only the SF 49ers hadn’t called for those fade passes in Super Bowl XLVII and in the 2014 NFC Championship game, we might be boasting an entirely different narrative about Kap’s postseason efforts.

Still, 4-2 in the playoffs is awfully impressive over a two-year span.
