No. 2: Do SF 49ers make full use of Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk?

It appears as if San Francisco finally has its dynamic pair of wide receivers after years of searching, Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk.

The crazy thing, however, is the two have only played together in a total of four games, injuries and other setbacks severly limiting the chances both players have been able to complement each other this season.

Generally speaking, when Samuel has been unavailable, Aiyuk has been a major factor. And when Aiyuk has been absent, Samuel often has stepped up. Such was the case in Week 12 against the Rams when Samuel recorded 11 receptions for 133 yards and was a key difference maker.

“Just the more these guys can play together, the more they can get out there, they’re made of the right stuff, they’re built the right way, and they’ll only get better,” Shanahan told the San Jose Mercury News‘ Cam Inman. “I just want to get them going.”

Week 13 against a Bills defense, which is allowing 6.5 yards per pass attempt — 19th best in the league, is arguably the most important game this season where having both Aiyuk and Samuel could be the key difference.
