No. 4: SF Running Back Tevin Coleman

Talk about another guy who’s always hurt.

Running back Tevin Coleman has been a pretty big disappointment for the SF 49ers over the last two years, in that he’s often hurt, but more importantly, he’s just been flat out bad. For a team that’s been touted as a running back factory, turning undrafted free agents into weekly starters, Coleman is the exception to the rule.

He has looked overly pedestrian since joining the team, leading the league in rushes for negative yards in 2019 and then boasting an awful 2.4 yards per carry in the three games he was featured this season, before being sidelined this year with a knee injury.

It was clear head coach Kyle Shanahan brought in Coleman due to his familiarity with the offensive system from Shanahan’s days with the Atlanta Falcons, but Coleman has been nothing but a disappointment. There’s no way the team extends him considering he’s been arguably the team’s worst running back the last two years.
