No. 2 SF 49ers injured player: George Kittle

Tight end George Kittle may or may not be the best tight end on the planet (just kidding, he’s the best tight end on the planet), but one thing he most definitely is: the heart and soul of the SF 49ers.

It is simply impossible not to like this man, he’s a ball of positive energy that bounces off defenders like a pinball.

Unfortunately, The People’s Tight End has been struck down with multiple injuries in 2020 that have caused the Niners to pull the pin on his season in hopes he’ll be alright for 2021.

Kittle is a rare player who isn’t productive only when it’s all going right, but a player who can make any quarterback productive with him. He’s as dominant on the field as he is with his personality, and that’s been missing for San Francisco.

His leadership and impact on the field cannot be understated, and the SF 49ers have sorely missed his presence on the field in 2020.

It’s wise to have the team shut up shop on Kittle, even if it’s not particularly popular. Short of a miracle resurgence, the team is going to miss the playoffs this season, and it makes no sense to risk Kittle as much as he would love to be out there.

For now, he just has to heal up and put a horror season behind him.
