No. 3: SF 49ers are getting healthy at the right time

Last season when the SF 49ers were preparing for their stretch run, the team was enduring injuries, not getting players back from various injury reports.

This year, the opposite could be taking place.

San Francisco is anticipating the near returns of a number of key players, including the following:

There’s also the outside chance both Jimmy Garoppolo and George Kittle return towards the very end of the season, although Kyle Shanahan told reporters the Niners would have to be in the playoff hunt late for him to consider going that route.

Still, those aforementioned player returns will upgrade San Francisco’s offense and defense in a big way, relegating depth players who are currently starting back to the roles they were intended to have at the season’s inception.

Any of those players will help make the SF 49ers much more competitive in games. A multitude of them shifts the edge in much greater favor towards San Francisco.
