Pittsburgh’s defensive line has been all kinds of potent this season, and EDGE Rashad Weaver is a major reason why.

At 6-foot-5 and 270 pounds, Weaver has the ideal body type for a prolific pass-rusher, even though his college stats don’t automatically suggest he’d be in the running for any single-season sack leader.

What we’re looking for here, though, is consistency. After performing noticeably well in 2018, an ACL tear cost Weaver his 2019 campaign.

Based on the early results in 2020, however, it appears as if Weaver should push himself right back into consideration for a day-two pick, perhaps going as early as the first few picks in Round 2.

Weaver is disruptive and plays against both the pass and run awfully well, making him a true candidate to be an every-down player for the SF 49ers if selected.
