Prediction No. 2: JaMycal Hasty will get the bulk of carries for the SF 49ers

San Francisco is still without its top running back, Raheem Mostert, who is sidelined with a knee injury. Fellow running back Jeff Wilson, who managed three touchdowns last week at New England, is also heading to injured reserve with a high-ankle sprain.

While fellow running back Tevin Coleman (knee) could return this weekend, it’s likely the bulk of ground rushes will come from the other two healthy tailbacks, Jerick McKinnon and JaMycal Hasty.

Of those two, Hasty might be the most explosive.

Hasty showed his value by rushing nine times for 57 yards in relief of Wilson against the Patriots last week. And while McKinnon has more experience and should be fresh after Kyle Shahanan’s attempt to give him time off in Week 7, Hasty’s multi-cut abilities could make for a unique challenge the Seahawks defense hasn’t seen before.

True, Seattle’s run defense has been good this season, allowing opponents to rush for 4.1 yard per carry.

But Hasty’s Marshawn Lynch-like traits might be worth exploiting against a team that used Lynch to great effect during the Seahawks’ glory years of the early 2010s.

Hasty should see the majority of touches on the ground.
