No. 4: SF 49ers Left Tackle Trent Williams

Even the best players on a team can run into problems any given week.

Such was the case for perennial Pro Bowl left tackle Trent Williams, whose Week 4 performance was easily his worst with the SF 49ers since joining during the offseason.

Against Philadelphia, Williams was slapped with two penalties and charged with two sacks and four quarterback pressures allowed, according to Pro Football Focus. Eagles defensive end Derek Barnett somehow managed to give Williams particular fits frequently during the game, which only compounded the vast pass-protection issues the Niners had blocking for Nick Mullens and their rushing attack.

If there’s good news, Williams is easily the most sound out of any player on this list when it comes to bouncing back.

And it isn’t as if the Dolphins are a team deep in the pass-rush department. To date, they’ve registered a mere nine sacks, and defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah is the primary pass-rushing threat Williams will have to deal with on game day.

Ogbah, who has two sacks of his own this season, shouldn’t be a player Williams has a lot of problems with.

At least that’s the hope.
