No. 2: SF 49ers tight end George Kittle

Even though it’s still early in the season, the SF 49ers were missing George Kittle a lot. After sitting out a couple of games to a knee strain suffered against the Arizona Cardinals, the “People’s Tight End” returned to the field and had himself a night.

Kittle was targeted 15 times and caught every single pass, including his first touchdown of the year:

There was lots of chatter about the chemistry between him and Mullens. They proved how well they feed off each other during the game. It was also clear just how much the SF 49ers missed their star player.

The only blemish on his night was not catching an easy two-point conversation, but we’ll let it slide. Kittle went off for 183 yards.

Kittle also put himself into the history books by tying Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski for third-fastest to 3,000 yards. Both Kittle and Gronkowski reached the mark in 47 games.
