SF 49ers Offensive Line

Left Tackle: Trent Williams

Left Guard: Laken Tomlinson

Center: Ben Garland

Right Guard: Daniel Brunskill

Right Tackle: Mike McGlinchey

No changes for San Francisco’s offensive line heading into Week 3, and that’s a bonus considering how banged up this unit was to begin the season.

The Niners got back No. 2 center Ben Garland, who is filling in for a still-injured Weston Richburg, and there was a noticeable difference in Garland getting the ball to Jimmy Garoppolo. While Garland is no Richburg, he’s surely an upgrade over the player the SF 49ers were forced to field in Week 1, reserve lineman Hroniss Grasu.

Left guard Laken Tomlinson suffered a minor injury versus the Jets but returned. Yet the bigger concern could have been right tackle Mike McGlinchey, who hasn’t exactly improved on his only average pass protection shown last year.

As of now, the right side of San Francisco’s O-line remains a pass-rushing liability.

It doesn’t serve as a liability on the far left, though, where veteran offensive tackle Trent Williams is looking like his usual Pro Bowl self.

That’s the one massive bonus from this unit through two weeks.
