No. 1: The SF 49ers signed Mohamed Sanu, who will help Jimmy Garoppolo immediately

Jimmy Garoppolo needs to and will re-connect with his receivers. Against the Cardinals, only four of his completions were to true wide receivers. The others were to tight ends and running backs.

The addition of veteran wide receiver Mohamed Sanu this week will help bring the veteran leadership this offense is missing, yet again. Luckily, the Niners management realized right away Garoppolo needed help and didn’t wait until the fourth week of the season.

But Sanu isn’t necessarily expected to fill the role like now-Saints wdeout Emmanuel Sanders did last season after being acquired just before the deadline. So it’s on Garoppolo to utilize his other receivers, like Dante Pettis, assuming the new signing doesn’t spell the end for him.

Garoppolo will have a better game against the Jets on Sunday. The doubters will be proved wrong and we’ll have the same Garoppolo swagger who gave us the phrase, “feels great, baby” once again.
