No. 1: Frank Gore declares he will retire with the SF 49ers

"“I started there, and I’m going to finish there. When I’m done, whenever I feel like I’m done, I’m gonna come back and retire as a Niner.” – Frank Gore"

It is a longtime dream for most 49ers fans that Frank Gore will, one day, return to the franchise where it all started to end his career, but Gore made that dream a reality when he publicly declared he will honorarily return to the Niners and retire with the team.

He stated how grateful he was that the 49ers are the team that gave him a chance coming out of school when a lot of teams felt he was too risky of a pick with his extensive injury history, so he feels particularly close to the franchise.

This was the ultimate thank you and sign of appreciation by Gore who expressed his feelings that he will always truly be a Niner at heart.

He will no doubt go down as one of the greatest 49ers of all-time, who we were incredibly lucky to have had the chance to watch on a weekly basis for a decade.

Like most true 49ers fans, Gore’s continued success as a rusher in the NFL was something we all hoped for. He will no doubt be a shoo-in Hall of Famer when all is said and done, and it is all but a guarantee that he wears his 49ers jersey upon his induction.
