SF 49ers Offensive Line (8)

LT Trent Williams

LG Laken Tomlinson

C Ben Garland

RG/C Daniel Brunskill

RT Mike McGlinchey

OT Justin Skule

OG Colton McKivitz

OG Tom Compton

PUP: C Weston Richburg

This group felt a lot easy to predict when starting center Weston Richburg wasn’t definitely going to start the season missing the first six games and then his backup, Ben Garland, went out with an ankle injury that may force him to miss Week 1.

Still, Garland and Richburg both know where they’ll be to start the season: the former will be on the roster, even if he misses a week or two, and the latter will be on the PUP list, hoping his health improves by Week 6.

The rest of the group isn’t terribly complicated, with tackles Trent Williams and Mike McGlinchey all set to bolster the edges of the SF 49ers’ offensive line and guard Laken Tomlinson starting on the left side.

Jack of all trades Daniel Brunskill will make the team and likely start somewhere, but whether it’s center or right guard to begin the year is based on Garland’s, and eventually Richburg’s, health.

That doesn’t leave much in the way of depth, but second-year man Justin Skule should slide in as the swing tackle after handling the job effectively last season, with rookie Colton McKivitz serving as a guard and emergency tackle, having played on the outside at West Virginia.

Journeyman Tom Compton fills out the group but may find himself in a “last man in/first man out” situation once Richburg is ready.
