No. 3: 49ers O-line depth chart in Week 1 will look like this

Might as well put together a guestimate on what San Francisco’s offensive line starters will look like once the regular-season roster is announced, right?

The key question mark is at center. Ben Garland is week-to-week with an ankle injury, although Kyle Shanahan didn’t relieve concerns after telling reporters Garland’s injury is “worse than some of these others.”

Garland might be available for Week 1. But given how thin the 49ers are along the interior, it wouldn’t be a shock if Garland is brought back slowly and not allowed to play until he’s fully recovered.

This would force last year’s uber-offensive lineman, Daniel Brunskill, over to center while giving veteran guard Tom Compton a chance to make the roster.

Compton hasn’t exactly been stellar in training camp, but the Niners may have no other choice but to keep him around a while longer.

As for the reserves, look for Garland to be there, inactive the first week or two, along with Colton McKivitz, Justin Skule and Hroniss Grasu to hang around as backups.

Unless, of course, the following prediction comes true and shakes things up.
