49ers NFL Draft Target No. 2: TE Kyle Pitts

Feel like getting creative and a bit crazy?

Well, imagine a Niners offense boasting two exceptional offensive weapons in tight ends George Kittle and Kyle Pitts. Kyle Shanahan would literally be frolicking at the idea of what he could do with two dynamic weapons like that.

Pitts, 6-foot-5 and 239 pounds, is going to be one of the most intriguing prospects in the 2021 NFL Draft. For starters, he’s done a bit of everything. He can be an inline tight end, has no issues playing out of the slot or can even match up against boundary cornerbacks as an outside wide receiver-type role.

Pitts has the catch radius and adequate footwork tendencies to suggest he’ll be another one of those yards-after-the-catch monsters. Plus, paired with his ability to line up anywhere on the field, it’s not hard to see why a weapon like Pitts could revolutionize offenses.

Adding a player like Pitts would make San Francisco’s offense all the more dynamic, allowing Shanahan to have an element to his system few coaches around the league could effectively defend.
