Niner Noise looks at the 10 players who’ll impress most during 49ers training camp.

San Francisco 49ers training camp always produces, at least, two or three, if not more, surprises every year. This can range from quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo throwing five interceptions in a row, to a third-round pick, Jalen Hurd, being the 49ers’ best receiver, according to NBC Sports’ Peter King, who watched the Niners’ training camp last year.

With some familiar faces having left during the offseason, whether it was the front office making a trade, a player turning down a new deal, or the retirement of a franchise legend — Joe Staley, we are all going to miss you — there has been some movement in regards to player personnel.

However, the few moves the front office made in free agency and in the NFL Draft is a strange feeling considering the sheer number of moves the front office has made in previous offseasons to build a Super Bowl-caliber roster.

This has meant the 49ers will be returning most of the roster that cruised to Super Bowl LIV, but they also added a few difference-makers on both sides of the ball. San Francisco has, arguably, upgraded in the trenches and at a skill position, or two, or three.

Unquestionably, though, the Niners have become younger and bigger.

In the top 10 players who’ll impress the most, there will not be any of the usual suspects, tight end George Kittle, EDGE Nick Bosa, linebackers Fred Warner or Dre Greenlaw.

Instead, there will be players who are more under the radar but also under the microscope at the same time.
