No. 3: Seahawks will slide, but not by much

The Seahawks start a season the same way it seems. Give quarterback Russell Wilson a lackluster offensive line and tell him to dig the Seahawks out of the hole their roster says they should be in.

And he does it.

This year the Seahawks will… give quarterback Russell Wilson a lackluster offensive line and tell him to dig the Seahawks out of the hole their roster says they should be in.

Maybe that’s a little harsh, but it’s hard to see this team making the playoffs with Wilson performing magic every season.

Logic says they should do so again this season, but losing EDGE Jadeveon Clowney (who has more impact than his stats suggest) may be the bit that finally makes it too much of a task for Wilson.

That being said, I don’t think they’ll slide much. They should finish above the Cardinals and compete for the Wild Card spots. But I don’t think it’s a given they get it.

And if the 49ers play to their potential on the roster, it won’t be nearly as close as it was in 2019.
