No. 5: EDGE T.J. Watt

Can you imagine EDGE Nick Bosa lining up on one side and Pittsburgh Steelers EDGE T.J. Watt lining up on the other? That would potentially be the most devastating pass-rush tandem in the league along with the likes of the Denver Broncos’ Bradley Chubb and Von Miller or Nick’s brother, Joey Bosa, and Melvin Ingram of the Los Angeles Chargers.

Heading into just his fourth season, Watt has already racked up 34.5 sacks for the Steelers and is only the second in club history with back-to-back seasons with at least 13 sacks. But Watt isn’t just a one-trick pony either, as his 2019 stats bare out: 14.5 sacks, 55 tackles, eight forced fumbles, four fumbles recovered and two interceptions last season. He could very well have garnered more Defensive Player of the Year attention if the Steelers had been in contention.

And while his brother, J.J. Watt of the Houston Texans, has had an amazing Hall of Fame-worthy career, T.J., as the above video mentions, is not too far behind his brother after three seasons.

And while EDGE Dee Ford has performed well when available (6.5 sacks in just 11 games), health has been an issue. Combining Nick Bosa, who just completed his Defensive Rookie of the Year season with nine sacks and an incredible 80 total pressures, the duo would create constant pressure from the edges in a division with two impressive scrambling quarterbacks in the Seattle Seahawks’ Russell Wilson and Arizona Cardinals’ Kyler Murray.
