No. 10: Center Jeremy Newberry

49ers Tenure: 1999-2005

Pro Bowl Selections: 2

Former 49ers center Jeremy Newberry is the last player the Niners have had to receive a Pro Bowl nomination at this position, one of two he earned in 2001 and 2002.

Newberry is also a link to the last time San Francisco was consistently good before the dark years of the mid 2000s. In fact, Newberry was one of many veterans the 49ers had to part ways with after the 2005 season, although an injury-plagued 2004 campaign probably didn’t help.

The former second-round pick of the Niners in 1998 spent his 2006 season with the Oakland Raiders before ending his pro career with the San Diego Chargers a year later.

Although fans still got to see Newberry providing excellent Bay Area football insight on KPIX5 for years following his retirement.
