No. 4: Emmanuel Sanders, Saints Host the 49ers in Week 10

Veteran wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders was a big reason why the Niners pulled off a stunning road win over the New Orleans Saints on the road in Week 14.

Now, Sanders will look to repeat that kind of role, only on the other side of the equation.

San Francisco ultimately elected to let Sanders walk in free agency during the offseason, and Sanders subsequently inked a two-year, $16 million deal with New Orleans, giving yet another weapon to eventual Hall of Fame quarterback Drew Brees.

Brees and Co. feature a prolific offense, which gave the 49ers more than their fair share of problems a year ago. Tacking on Sanders to that unit could pose even more issues, making this year’s Week 10 bout one to watch. Pulling off high-profile wins on the road at a venue like the Mercedes Benz Superdome is never an easy task, particularly with the Saints right on par with the Niners as Super Bowl contenders.

San Francisco will hopefully be just as prolific, offensively, as it was a year ago. And the hope will be Sanders being put in check by the 49ers defense.

But considering this game could ultimately decide NFC seeding when the regular season is over, Week 10 has some serious implications already attached to it.
