Team needs

The Super Bowl champs are more than set at offense, so to the priority was begin beefing up the defense to help this team become the dynasty it’s threatening to be.

2020 NFL Draft class

  • No. 32: Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Running Back, LSU
  • No. 63: Willie Gay, Linebacker, Mississippi State
  • No. 96: Lucas Niang, Offensive Tackle, TCU
  • No. 138: L’Jarius Sneed, Cornerback, Louisiana Tech
  • No. 177: Mike Danna, EDGE, Michigan
  • No. 237: Thakarius Keyes, Cornerback, Tulane

Draft review

I thought the Chiefs ignored the defensive holes too much, but the scary thought of Clyde Edwards-Helaire making the offense even more potent is something at least.

The one defensive impact player they drafted, Willie Gay, has talent but needs to keep out of trouble. Lucas Niang was a decent value at No. 96 who can start down the line.

Overall, the Chiefs are still needing defensive help but they have made the offense more potent. It’s a mixed bag.
