No. 5: Get Involved in Your Community

OK, so this is pretty cool.

It doesn’t take a lot to realize a number of small businesses are hurting during these tough times. Especially restaurants, which in many areas, have been required to shut down everything aside from food pickup and delivery. Dining in isn’t an option right now.

A number of players across the league are partaking in their own charitable efforts to help these small-business owners out, including recently re-signed defensive end Arik Armstead:

Armstead has a campaign going for his hometown of Sacramento, California, where he’s encouraging locals to get food from their favorite local restaurants, take pictures and share them on social media with the hashtag #EAT91SIX (Sacramento’s area code is 916).

In return, Armstead will return the favor by offering winners game tickets, memorabilia and other items 49ers fans can add to their collections.

You don’t have to do this just to win something, either. Just support your local businesses as best as you can.
