3 dream scenarios for the 49ers in the 2020 NFL Draft

No. 3: OL Tyler Biadasz Falls into Round 4
It’s not going to happen. But since this is about dream scenarios for San Francisco, one can hope a promising interior offensive lineman dips down into the middle rounds.
Wisconsin center Tyler Biadasz appears to be one of those fringe late first- or early second-round picks, although The Draft Network’s Kyle Crabbs lists the former Badger as the No. 130 overall prospect on his most recent big board.
Yet the 49ers are scheduled to pick until Round 5, No. 139 overall from the Denver Broncos, and that doesn’t include the multitude of compensatory picks to be dished out before the NFL Draft itself, pushing the overall number down even further.
But if Crabbs is correct, Biadasz falling would be an absolute dream for the Niners.
Going into Round 4 would require John Lynch to execute some sort of trade down from No. 31, likely accruing some additional draft capital for day two and day three. Yet if San Francisco manages to get a fourth-round selection and Biadasz continues to drop, it’s hard to imagine Lynch passing the lineman up.
The 49ers could stand an upgrade along the interior of their offensive line. Veteran right guard Mike Person might be a cap casualty this offseason, and the Niners could stand to get younger there. Center Weston Richburg has also been injured the last two seasons.
So if upgrading the O-line interior is high on the Niners’ offseason to-do list, watching Biadasz fall is something Lynch and Co. will hope for.
