No. 3: Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans finally managed to get some top-end production from their wide receiver corps in 2019, which was a part of their run deep into the playoffs. Then-rookie wideout A.J. Brown enjoyed a 1,000-yard campaign and looks to be a massive part of the team’s future.

No. 2 wideout Corey Davis also had a productive year, posting 601 yards of his own.

Still, the Titans are going to remain a run-first team in 2020, thanks to running back Derrick Henry‘s profound rushing abilities. And with uncertainties under center, thanks to quarterbacks Ryan Tannehill both heading towards free agency, one might figure stockpiling additional receiving weapons could do some good.

Especially if the Titans wind up with a field stretcher like Marquise Goodwin.

This is probably the rationale behind Niners Wire’s Mike Moraitis when he suggested Tennessee as a plausible trade partner with the 49ers for Goodwin’s services.

Again, the Niners wouldn’t get much of anything in return. But if the Titans want to continue adding offensive weapons, and if they solidify their quarterbacking needs, going after a low-cost, low-risk option like Goodwin would make a lot of sense.
