3 offensive free agents 49ers should target in 2020
No. 3: Graham Glasgow, Offensive Guard (Detroit Lions)
The 49ers need to upgrade the interior offensive line badly. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has struggled sometimes by finding enough time to throw to his receivers, when they are getting out of their breaks on their routes, and would often get sacked. Super Bowl LIV is a great example. Defensive end Chris Jones for the Kansas City Chiefs had his way a lot with the offensive guard, Mike Person, by batting down the ball three times.
Offensive guard Graham Glasgow, 27-years old, is from the Detroit Lions like his former teammate and current 49er, Laken Tomlinson. Glasgow was mainly used as a center. but he does have a better experience working at either left or right guard. He also allowed zero sacks in the previous season and has only had three penalties called against him, displaying how disciplined he is.
The Niners might look towards the draft to pick up a guard with the current center, Weston Richburg, getting hurt a couple of times the past two years.
Glasgow could be a great option for the team as he has flown under the radar and no one is talking about his performance which would help the 49ers pick him up for a good deal.
