No. 4: Tight End Hunter Henry

The 49ers should also avoid Los Angeles Chargers tight end Hunter Henry.

Henry is a great tight end coming to the close of his rookie deal. If you play fantasy football, you definitely know the name, as he is discussed annually as a potential fantasy star.

But if you play fantasy football, you probably also know the first reason the Niners should avoid Henry. And that reason is Henry is injury prone. He has never played a full 16 games in a season and missed the entire 2018 season because of a torn ACL.

Some team will take a chance on Henry in spite of his injury history, because of his talent. That risk may pay off for them because he definitely does have talent.

But the Niners have plenty of tight end talent in George Kittle, whom Pro Football Focus named as the best player in the NFL for 2019. The Niners don’t need another star tight end. While they could possibly use more tight ends, they do not need a star-caliber one like Henry with Kittle already on the roster.

Instead, the Niners should focus on extending Kittle.
