49ers 2020 NFL Draft needs: Ranking top 5 wide receiver options
By Timmy Gibson
Now we entire the truly elite tier of the 2020 wide receiver draft class. A tier I like to call the “Man, oh man do I want these guys on the Niners but I would probably be mad at the team for trading away whatever assets they would have to trade away to get them” tier.
So, No. 2 on our rankings is Jerry Jeudy from the University of Alabama. Jeudy is not as big as the other receivers on this list at 6-foot-1, 192 pounds. Jeudy is widely considered one of the best draft prospects in recent memory, often being compared to the Atlanta Falcons superstar, Julio Jones.
Jeudy could step onto an NFL field tomorrow and be an team’s No. 1 receiver. He has all of the intangibles and technique a pro team could want. Jeudy is one of those players you watch in college, and he just seems better than everyone else on the field.
While he is not as big as some of the guys ranked earlier, his talent sets him as someone who the Niners could use for years to come regardless. Jeudy’s athleticism and technique would allow him to do whatever the Niners asked of him, while also being a truly elite receiving option for quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.
However, it is extremely unlikely the Niners are able to draft Jeudy, but if they do, he will be a leading fixture on the team’s offense for years.
