No. 3: Utilize Deebo Samuel and George Kittle More

Wide receiver Deebo Samuel was doing damage against the Chiefs, then he suddenly disappeared late in the game when he should be utilized the most. The same goes for George Kittle.

Despite both of them having the most targets in the game, Jimmy Garoppolo missed Kittle for easy first downs, and Samuel was mainly used for trick plays. Arguably the best tight end in the game and the star-rising rookie were blocking most of the game instead of making impactful plays late in the game.

It’s criminal for how much they weren’t used in the game when both of them could have drastically changed the flow. Garoppolo’s passes getting knocked down and playing poorly in the fourth quarter certainly didn’t help the situation, either, which led to 3-and-outs and the defense hardly getting any rest on the bench.
