Defensive Lineman Damontre Moore

The 49ers saw something in journeyman defensive lineman Damontre Moore during the preseason, although that wasn’t enough to keep him on the 53-man roster once the regular season started.

Yet the Niners brought him back on a one-year deal, only to see him end up on injured reserve in late November after he played in two games, even forcing a fumble during one of those two contests.

Moore is an interesting piece, as he’s someone who showed the ability to be a quality depth piece, even if it means he’d be a weekly inactive, barring injuries elsewhere. At 27 years old, he’d be an experienced asset with some solid pass-rushing abilities, and those are crucial for depth.

If the 49ers have some room on the back end of their roster, expect Moore to be back on a cheap deal.

Prediction: Re-signed
