3 reasons why 49ers win Super Bowl 55 in 2021

No. 2: 49ers Were Built for Elongated Success
Yes, the Niners are going to undergo some notable roster changes from 2019 to 2020. Defensive tackle Arik Armstead, who recorded a career-high 10 sacks last season, is hitting free agency. So is wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders along with defensive back Jimmie Ward.
Whether or not the 49ers bring back any or all those players is yet to be determined. But the core group is still very much intact.
And it has playoff experience. Quite a lot of it, actually.
San Francisco entered the 2019 season with the 12th youngest roster in the NFL. While there were and will be changes upcoming, this suggests a nice mix of youth and veteran savvy. Among the cornerstone players, tight end George Kittle (26 years old) is hitting the prime of his career. Defensive tackle DeForest Buckner (25 years old) is also very young. EDGE Dee Ford, who’ll turn 29 years old in March, still has plenty of production left, too.
Meanwhile, rookies like EDGE Nick Bosa and wide receiver Deebo Samuel already cemented themselves as big-impact players. One can only expect both to perform at an even higher level than 2019.
Last season provided a clear glimpse just how effective this core group could be over the course of a full year and deep into the playoffs.
Barring injury or a complete regression, there’s little reason to suggest this group fails to achieve similar accolades on another Super Bowl run.
