No. 4: Aaron Jones will be bottled up on the ground

When it comes to breakout players in the National Football League, Green Bay running back Aaron Jones certainly is among the top of that pile. Jones had 1,084 yards rushing and 16 touchdowns in the regular season, averaging 4.6 yards per carry.

However, against San Francisco, Jones only had 38 yards off 13 carries. The 49ers bottled him up good and proper.

Now, to be fair, losing Bryan Bulaga didn’t help matters for Jones; running behind a backup right tackle isn’t a recipe for success. But even factoring in Bulaga, the 49ers were on top of Jones on almost every rushing attempt.

The Packers will be looking to establish the run so the 49ers’ defense can’t focus solely on the passing game, but they’ll find it harder than before with Dee Ford and linebacker Kwon Alexander filling the gap this time.

Jones may find himself used in the passing game for Green Bay if the pressure forces checkdowns, but the 49ers should be able to put the clamps on Jones.

No. 5: The 49ers will win and face the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl

The 49ers have earned my faith, and I believe they’ll beat the Packers to go on and face the Kansas City Chiefs in what would be an explosive Super Bowl matchup.

The 49ers have already beaten the Packers, have a healthier defense, and their strong 27-10 playoff win last week shows they weren’t just a one and done in the playoffs.

Aaron Rodgers is a tough opponent, but the 49ers’ defense has been up to the challenge all year. I foresee a 31-24 victory for San Francisco, and another chance for their sixth Lombardi.

On the AFC side, while the Tennessee Titans are an ultimate underdog who have earned respect off big victories over the New England Patriots and Baltimore Ravens, the Chiefs look like they have everything they need to brush past the Titans and finally make the Super Bowl again.
