No. 3: Nick Bosa

This really says a lot about the rookie season EDGE Nick Bosa is having on a defensive line that boasts Dee Ford, DeForest Buckner and Arik Armstead.

It can be argued that he already is the crown jewel of that loaded defensive trench.

Playoff football agrees with Bosa. He was the best player on the 49ers defense against the Vikings with his two sacks, two tackles for loss, and three quarterback hits.

If I had a game like that, I might milk getting winded just so I can soak up the crowd reaction too.

Bosa also notched a sack in the game against Green Bay, as well as one tackle for loss and a quarterback hit.

That pressure needs to continue in this return game, as Aaron Rodgers is too talented to be left to his own devices, even if Davante Adams is shut down.

With the consistent and heavy practice that Bosa (and the rest of the defensive line) brings, the 49ers can continue to feel confident sending only four players after the quarterback and using the remaining seven in coverage.

dark. Next. 49ers rushing attack will be vital in NFC Championship vs Packers

The Packers can’t win on running the ball alone. If they can stifle the passing once again, the 49ers will be well on their way to the Super Bowl.
