No. 6: Deebo Samuel

With every passing week, wide receiver Deebo Samuel looks more and more like he should have been long gone by the time San Francisco chose him as a second-round pick in 2019.

Despite starting slowly, Samuel has turned into the No. 2 receiver quickly for the Niners, and his ability to play like a running back makes him a versatile weapon in head coach Kyle Shanahan’s offense.

Samuel had 57 catches for 802 yards and three touchdowns receiving through his 16 games, and added 14 carries for 159 yards and a further three touchdowns.

Lightning fast and a great route runner, the sky is the limit for the young receiver that’s been turning heads not seen since the great, Jerry Rice.

Pro Football Focus had him rated as the 10th best rookie in the NFL this season, pointing out that his 16 forced missed tackles were the best among wide receiver, and his  8.7 yards after the catch is second best among rookies.

How he fares in a playoff environment will be very intriguing, as the young rookie is now a focal point of the Niners offense.
