No. 3: NaVorro Bowman and the Pick at the Stick

Any play with its own name is obviously memorable, and “The Pick at the Stick” is no exception.

In the final game played at Candlestick Park, linebacker NaVorro Bowman delivered one of the greatest plays of all time with this game-winning pick six against the Atlanta Falcons:

What a play. If you’ll excuse me, I’ll just watch that play and Jim Harbaugh running down the field a few dozen more times. I would run through a brick wall for Harbaugh.

Bowman delivered one of the best highlights from the Harbaugh-coached defense of the earlier part of the decade. It’s one of the best plays you’ll ever see. The coordination and focus it took just to bring the ball in, combined with his speed down the field, show why Bowman was such a fantastic player.

Combined with the fact it was the last game ever played at the legendary Candlestick Park, that makes the Pick at the Stick one of the greatest 49er plays of all time.
