No. 6: Get Running Back Raheem Mostert Involved More

It seems like whenever his number is called, running back Raheem Mostert delivers.

This was wholly apparent in Week 13 against the Ravens, where Mostert amassed a career-best 146 rush yards on 19 carries with a touchdown, finishing the day with an astounding 7.7 yards per carry.

On the year, Mostert has a career-high 539 yards, three touchdowns and is averaging 5.9 yards per attempt. He’s shown to be far more than just a special teams ace.

Although that’s still important, too.

On the flip side, fellow running back Tevin Coleman has mostly been held in check since his four-touchdown effort against the Carolina Panthers back in Week 8.

For whatever the reasons, Mostert appears to be the better fit for Kyle Shanahan right now, and the Niners would be wise to utilize Mostert more than Coleman down the stretch.
