No. 2: The 49ers are still the top team in the NFC

With the loss to a fellow Super Bowl contender in the Seahawks, there was some legitimate doubt as to where in the pecking order this 49ers team belonged.

Yes, the team required multiple injuries, drops and a shanked field goal attempt to lose to Seattle back in Week 10, but it still didn’t do much to erase the doubts of how legitimate this squad was.

After a beatdown of another fellow rival in the Packers, we now know the Niners are exactly who we thought they were: a well-coached, well-built, well-motivated and well-executing team which doesn’t care what the naysayers are bellyaching about this week.

Such a balanced, methodical beatdown on offense and defense shows what they’re capable of when healthy and executing.

More importantly, they still have the record to back it up. Their 10-1 record is still top of the conference and equal top of the entire league, and their only loss was in the literal last seconds of overtime, where literally everything went wrong for the team.

Make no mistake, this is the best team in the NFC.
