No. 3: Tight End George Kittle

Like Kyle Juszczyk, George Kittle has the injury factor working a bit against him. Suffering both knee and ankle injuries during the 49ers’ Week 9 win over the Arizona Cardinals, Kittle has since missed two games in a row and could be out against the Niners’ Week 12 contest against the Green Bay Packers, too.

Despite missing two-plus games, Kittle still leads all San Francisco pass catchers with 46 receptions and 541 yards.

There are a number of tight ends with more receiving yards than Kittle at this point of the season, including the Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce (741), the Oakland Raiders’ Darren Waller (666) and the Philadelphia Eagles’ Zach Ertz (621). But Kittle is still much more complete a player at this position than any of the aforementioned names.

Voters pay attention to those kinds of things, too.

Plus, it’s hard to ignore Kittle’s personality and star power, which helps him earn the name recognition so necessary in voters’ decisions.
