Winner: Wide Receiver Deebo Samuel

The 49ers finally appear to have found a starting-caliber wide receiver, especially someone to pair with the veteran, Emmanuel Sanders, for the rest of 2019.

The rookie, Deebo Samuel.

For the second time in as many weeks, Samuel crested the 100-yard receiving mark, this time posting 134 yards on eight catches. While he didn’t find the end zone in Week 11, Samuel was a major piece to San Francisco’s offensive efforts.

And he’s surely earned some adoration from players like Jimmy Garoppolo and cornerback Richard Sherman:

With Sanders still banged up from a Week 10 ribs injury, Samuel was asked to shoulder a significant portion of the 49ers offensive attack.

Samuel delivered, and his physical style of play is something the Niners have sorely lacked since the days when now-retired wide receiver Anquan Boldin donned a 49ers uniform.
