Winner: Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo

Sure, he wasn’t perfect. But Jimmy Garoppolo is a clear winner from San Francisco’s Week 11 victory over Arizona.

Getting the negatives out of the way, Garoppolo’s two interceptions were troubling. The first, an intended pass for backup tight end Ross Dwelley, sailed behind the target, bouncing off Dwelley’s extended hand and into the waiting arms of Cardinals safety Jalen Thompson.

Later, Garoppolo failed to see Cardinals linebacker Jordan Hicks, whose interception thwarted a promising 49ers drive.

Aside from those two blemishes, though, Garoppolo’s day was pretty spectacular. His four touchdown passes matched the career-high number he set against Arizona two weeks ago in Week 9. Overall, Jimmy G went 34-of-45 for a whopping 424 yards and a passer rating of 115.4.

Even more impressive was Garoppolo’s poise within the pocket. Despite taking four sacks, Garoppolo still managed to navigate through a lot of the pressure the Cardinals pass rush brought, effectively moving the ball a lot through the air, as indicated by his 45 attempts.
