20. team. 13. . 4-6, 3rd in AFC West. Previous: . Los Angeles Chargers

L, 26-24 @ Raiders

It’s looking like the Chargers’ early struggles in 2019 will again come back to haunt their playoff chances, which took another crucial hit on Thursday Night Football against the Raiders, and they take a stumble in our NFL power rankings as a result.

The NFL playoffs picture, too.

Simply put, Los Angeles needed this victory to keep pace with the Raiders and potentially catch the still-scuffling Chiefs, especially given how close the AFC West is right now.

The fact no one is running away in the division helps, although climbing over teams in a division race is often tougher than merely improving a record.

At least the Chargers have another game remaining against Oakland, along with their two against the Chiefs, which could have a dramatic impact on who wins this division in 2019.
