No.1: Jimmy Garoppolo takes advantage of weak Seahawks secondary

It’s no question who the most underrated player of 2019 is: quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. Probably one of the biggest trade steals in recent memory was when the 49ers sent a second-round NFL Draft pick to the New England Patriots for Garoppolo back in 2017.

He’s quietly lead his team to a perfect record and still doesn’t get the attention or accolades he deserves.

So far this year, Jimmy G has completed 71 percent of his passes for 1,806 yards. He’s tossed 13 touchdowns and has only seven interceptions. He’s going up against a secondary which gives up 278 passing yards per game.

Garoppolo is averaging 225 yards per contest.

If George Kittle is out on Monday, it could give wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders more opportunity to jell with Garoppolo. Sanders has been as advertised in his two games in San Francisco. He’s caught 11 passes for 137 yards with two touchdowns.

Receivers Deebo Samuel and Dante Pettis are having decent seasons. They’ll have a prime chance to prove they both are solid plans for the future. Samuel, who’s in his rookie season and Pettis, who is in his second year, have a combined 436 yards and three scores.

It’ll be a great chance for Garoppolo to get these guys going.
