Monday night against the Seahawks isn’t as big a must-win game for San Francisco as it is Seattle, at least in terms of NFC West ownership. But a victory for Kyle Shanahan and Co. would be massive, especially in the tiebreaker department.

The Cardinals were feisty against the Niners on a short week and at home in Week 9. But one figures the advantage shifts heavily over to San Francisco the following week.

Hosting the Green Bay Packers, before traveling to take on the Ravens and Saints in back-to-back weeks, seems daunting, yes. Even winning just one of those games would be a solid scenario for the 49ers, particularly when paired with Seattle’s tough schedule down the stretch. One loss during those three games would be great.

And the Niners are still unbeaten, so even that’s a possibility, too.

The Atlanta Falcons have been terrible, and San Francisco already beat the Rams on the road earlier this season. By the time the 49ers and Seahawks face off against each other in Week 17, there’s a good chance the Niners have already locked up the division.

Even if they lose two, three or even four games in the second half.
