No. 4: Starting 10-0 Is a Real Possibility for San Francisco

7-0 is great for the 49ers. It wasn’t hard to find offseason predictions suggesting the Niners would finish with an 8-8 record, thereabouts.

Now, San Francisco is a mere one win away from reaching those merely average projections.

Yet there’s a strong chance the 49ers increase their chances for a deep playoff push, and potentially a No. 1 or No. 2 seed in the NFC, over their next three contests. The 49ers have a short turnaround entering Week 9, taking to the road for a Thursday Night Football bout against the 3-4-1 Arizona Cardinals.

Arizona has been feisty this season, yes. But San Francisco is already listed as an eight-point road favorite, courtesy of the Action Network.

Should the Niners win that game, a home Monday Night Football home bout, coming off a mini bye week, could be a bonus against the two-loss Seattle Seahawks. Seattle has been good this season, yes. But the Seahawks aren’t steamrolling opponents like the 49ers have this season.

Advantage: San Francisco, perhaps.

Then, the 49ers face off again with the Cardinals in Week 11 in what should be an even better odds-based game for Kyle Shanahan and Co.

It’s not hard to envision a 10-0 start to the season, folks.
