Panthers vs. 49ers: Full Week 8 preview, breakdown for San Francisco
49ers Week 8 Injury Report
Despite a endlessly growing injury list, the 49ers have kept finding ways to win as they wait for reinforcements to return.
The good news is help may be on the way.
As of writing, veteran left tackle Joe Staley has returned to practice and is desperately trying to prove he can return against Carolina. If he does, he would be a welcome sight for San Francisco, who have gotten solid blocking from backups Justin Skule and Daniel Brunskill but have still regressed in blocking nonetheless.
Here’s the 49ers injury report ahead of Week 8:
- EDGE Dee Ford (Knee/Quad), Limited, Available
- DT D.J. Jones (Hamstring), Full Participation, Available
- FB Kyle Juszczyk (Knee), DNP, Out
- TE George Kittle (Knee), Full Participation, Available
- OT Mike McGlinchey (Knee), DNP, Out
- RB Raheem Mostert (Knee), Limited, Questionable
- WR Deebo Samuel (Groin), Full Participation, Available
- OT Joe Staley (Fibula), Limited, Doubtful
- CB Ahkello Witherspoon (Foot), DNP, Out
- WR Dante Pettis (Knee), Full Participation, Available
- TE Levine Tioilio (Groin), Limited, Questionable
- WR Marquise Goodwin (Not Injury Related), DNP, Questionable
All those limited should be ready to go, however Goodwin and Tioilio may be worth monitoring.
Jones and Samuel both missed the game last week against the Redskins and should return.
Ford is dealing with his injuries all year, but should be good to go for Carolina.
