NFL power rankings: 49ers stay hot, Rams plummet in Week 7

It feels wrong dropping the Saints in our NFL power rankings after pulling off a hard-fought road win against a good Jaguars defense.

Yet the Saints weren’t exactly firing on all cylinders, especially on the offensive side of the ball. New Orleans managed to make it into the red zone just three times, only converting once. And while Teddy Bridgewater continued to win, the end results in points speak for themselves.

Still, give kudos to the Saints defense for looking awfully legit during the contest. This group held Jacksonville to just 226 total yards, frustrating Gardner Minshew and putting a halt to the vast majority of the Jaguars’ offensive drives before they were able to get going.

That’s never an easy task on the road.
